Welcome to the California Consumer Protection Foundation website. The Foundation administers consumer trust funds and distributes grants to private non-profit and public agencies through a competitive application process. Our goal for this website is to provide potential applicants with everything they need to apply for a grant, links to our grantees and other useful resources. In this regard, we have posted our general funding guidelines, as well as the specific funding priorities of the consumer trust funds we manage. The site also provides information on recent grants we have made, including contact information for each grantee. You can also download application forms to fill out on your own computer. Report forms for current grantees may also be downloaded here. You can also sign up for our mailing list to receive future funding announcements or to notify us of a change of address. Finally, an extensive resource section includes links to other funders, technical assistance providers, technology networks, consumer protection organizations, and accessibility guidelines and tools.

What's New

The Foundation has established its 2010 grant-making schedule and will relase the 2010 guidelines in December. If you would like to discuss project ideas, please contact Foundation staff well in advance of the deadline. We are happy to assist you.

Also available on the website are Tips for Successful Grantwriting. The tips, initially developed by Nelson Holl, the Foundation's late Executive Director, synthesize almost 20 years of experience reviewing proposals and assisting grant applicants into several easy-to-read pages.
